Hi everyone! I am so excited to share with you Spellbinders Merry Stitchmas collection. In this blog post I’m going to show you three projects that I created. This is #2-4 of the dies Spellbinders sent me.

To be honest with you, I frankly did not understand the collection name and what kind of project this would be. It wasn’t until I watched Spellbinders video that I truly understood that this card had sewing involved and I had already created one of my projects. But, it ended up being a blessing because I can attest these dies look amazing without sewing it all. If you are reading this blog and you’re saying to yourself that you do not sew so you will pass on these dies, I’m going to tell you that is a big mistake.

Project 1- The Diamond Stitch Etched Dies

The Diamond Stitch Etched dies sets are amazing. For this project are use the Christmas Traditions Paper Pad, card stock warehouse crystal card and green card stock. The sentiment was created with the Holiday Florals Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate from the Christmas Traditions Collection. No sewing required!

Project 2- The Stitchmas Tree Dies

In project number two, I die cut only the Circular Stitch Insert on my red foil card base. Again, a beautiful die without stitching. On Crystal card stock I die cut the Stitchmas Tree and used red and green DMC embroidery thread. This die is the least time consuming and is super cute. With the outline Stitchmas Dies I die cut in gold and glued to the finished Christmas tree and then applied it to the card base.

Project 3- The Circular Stitch Background Dies

As I mentioned above, the circular stitch background eyes look lovely without any stitching and they can be used for any occasion. In project #3 I decided to go all out in my stitching. The card stock is from Anna Griffin pastel card stock collection and Cardstock Warehouse’s ruby card stock. I used iridescent DMC embroidery thread as well as white, dark silver and gold. The sentiment is from the Mini Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. As I sewed, I was reminded of fond memories of my mother and I back when I was a child in Guam. I remember her signing us up for a macramé class and the joy of creating.

I am looking forward to creating many more cards with these 3 incredible dies in the future.
