Hey everyone! I’m so excited to share with you my 1st of 12 Spellbinders projects. It was so hard to decided what to create first but it was not a very hard decision when I saw Susan Tierney Cockburn’s newest die releases. The question was which one??? I decided to tackle Susan’s Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot. The reason I say tackle is because I own many of her rose dies but never have EVER been able to get them to look realistic. Knowing this would be a challenge I chose a simple but elegant Kennedy Hybrid Rose.

I used white colored card stock and colored the bottom half of the petals with Copic, Pale Fruit Pink (E000). For the leaves are used Copic, Forest Green (G17).

For the tea kettle and plate I used one of my favorite card stock paper pads from DCWV, Copper Blues.
made this for my darling Jeff. Sometime last year I requested we get some tea for the house. He was only a coffee drinker and loved his French press. We went to Wegmans and discovered they had a pretty extensive tea section. He asked me what flavor tea I prefer and stood there overwhelmed. 😳 No joke we walked out with 7 varieties. I fixed myself some tea and asked if he wanted a cup. Which he then shrugged and said sure (that’s a huge stepping stone). Next thing you know he is researching the benefits and the following week I come home to 8 more boxes of different teas. 😂 To date he has a cup every single day. More than me. He is also a Douglas Adams fan so I thought of him when I ran across quote about tea. 😍
Douglas Noel Adams (11 March 1952 – 11 May 2001), was an English author, screenwriter, essayist, humorist, satirist and dramatist. Adams was author of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, which originated in 1978 as a BBC radio comedy.
