On September 19, 2021 Spellbinders released five new flower dies: Cactus Dahlia, Daffodil/Narcissus, Geranium, Hybrid Tea Rose, and Oriental Lily.
What is so special about this particular release is they also included unique containers. This is not usually the case, and often purchased separately. In my opinion Combining the flower dies with the containers allows anyone, beginners two diehard fans, to be able to complete paper flower project from start to finish effortlessly.
All the containers are quite lovely but I will be showcasing them in the order of like to absolutely love and sharing why you may love them too. Be sure to visit my blog soon as I will share how I created each flower project.
Oriental Lily and Wellies
I have always loved Susan’s Lily dies but the container shaped in Wellies, that is paired with them is absolutely adorable and perfect for any occasion or season. You can even make them into Santa booties. Supplies used and tutorial coming soon.
Geranium and Antique Wooden Bucket/Cactus Dahlia and Ornamental Garden Pottery
These two classic die sets are a must for any paper flower gardener. What I love about these two containers is the embossing detail and the width of the container. These containers allow you to create bigger flower arrangements with variety of small to mid flower die sets or enough room for a bigger flowers. Supplies used and tutorial coming soon.
Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot
The Hybrid Tea Rose and Tea Pot die is a delightful mixture of a classic flower die with unique tea pot container. The lid is also included. I love that spellbinders includes a rose bud die and stem in this set. I was able to create 3 rose sizes.
To me, the tea pot is the perfect container for special occasions such as Mother’s Day and Weddings but can also be used for men. I made this mixed media art for my beloved boyfriend, Jeff. Click on the photo to learn more about how I created this project.
Daffodil/Narcissus and Antique Vase with Honey Bee
And finally my favorite container of all, the Daffodil/Narcissus and Antique Vase with Honey Bee. Spellbinders again combines the classic flower dies of daffodils with a traditional container but what makes this set unique are the dies versatility. With the daffodil flower dies you can actually create 2 different varieties, The King Alfred daffodil and Heirloom daffodil. Supplies used and tutorial coming soon.
The Antique vase is perfect with stemmed single flowers or small wildflowers. But what I love mostly about this die set is the bumblebees die. I really hate bees but love these since I will never have to worry about them stinging me…lol
Thank you again to Spellbinders for sending me these amazing dies. I really had fun creating these projects.
